Tri-Sector Prologue

On July 23rd 2550, the first colonization ship left Earth to conquer tackle the early steps of conquering the solar system. From that day to the 36th century was known as the Great Expansion. Early on in the Great Expansion, it was decided by the governing body, The Children of Sol, to head for the heart of the Milky Way for a greater chance of finding inhabitable planets. Soon, The Children of Sol became the great Democratic Inner Core Exilarchy, or DICE. These select few colonies would be the governing body for the whole Milky Way.

All known Alien races were originally to either too unevolved or too technologically weak to stand up to the rapidly growing Human race. In the rare occasion that the humans did meet a civilization with greater tech than them, they were officially deemed a threat to the species, by the authority of DICE, and were subsequently removed to make way for the human growth.

The era between the 40 and 42nd century was known as the Golden Age. In the late 43rd century, however, the alien races living under the rule of DICE began to revolt, and managed to grow from only taking up their designated one sixth of the galaxy, to regaining just under half of the Milky Way, setting back any colonization plans for the wider Universe. This split the galaxy, consisting of the technologically superior humans, and the rag-tag jumble of alien races, many on the brink of extinction.

After nearly three hundred years of fighting, a truce was made. After so long, the oppressive fundamentals of DICE were long forgotten, and so UNITE, the Unified Nations of Intelligent Terrestrials and Extraterrestrials, was formed from the ashes of DICE. When races outside of the Milky Way galaxy talk of the mixture of species inside the Milky Way, they use the collective term "The Children of Sol", as the human race is widely recognized to be the core of the modern Milky Way society.

In 4828, during the Great Expansion of the Galactic races, a colonization of the unknown was planned by UNITE. The scheme would consist of 50'000 colonization fleets, each containing enough ships to inhabit ten star systems, all being sent to the nearby Andromeda Galaxy. The idea behind the scheme was to maintain a foothold in a new galaxy, and negotiate with any outstanding civilizations. Force was deemed unnecessary, and only to be used in self-defence. The governing body, dubbed the Andromed404 by the Sol, were surprisingly welcoming, saying that they could have free access to the galaxy, but to stay clear of the civilizations outside of the 404, as they were all unaware of alien presence.  

Because many of the Sol fleets had scientific research teams with them, the Andromed404 directed them towards an area of the galaxy which was always a mystery to them: The Tri-Sector System.

The Sol soon pieced together the story, with an ancient Mythology, created many millennia ago, becoming the final piece of the puzzle.
